Internal compliance framework developed based on and aligned with applicable international standards and recommendations issued by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

Preliminary Provision

These provisions constitute the internal prevention and compliance framework of the Agency and have been developed based on the International Standards and Recommendations issued by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) concerning the prevention of money laundering, terrorist financing, and proliferation financing.

The Agency adopts the FATF preventive principles and measures that are compatible with the nature of its activities involving financial transaction analysis, forensic tax investigation, assistance in chargeback procedures, documentary analysis, and capital recovery.

These provisions must be applied together with the legislation and regulatory obligations established by the competent authorities in the jurisdictions in which the Agency operates or intervenes.

These internal compliance provisions are particularly based on FATF Recommendations 1, 10, 11, 12, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 24, without prejudice to the application of other relevant standards when required by the nature of a transaction or case.

These provisions describe an internal compliance framework developed by the Agency based on and aligned with applicable FATF rules and regulations. The FATF is a licensing authority, financial regulator and direct supervisor of the Agency, the Agency reports directly to the FATF.
